When I was little, shoe shops didn’t sell anything very exciting to wear. This was my inspiration for this poem many years later… I imagined all the great types of shoes, boots, sandals and trainers that would take you on amazing adventures, full of colour, beautiful far-away places and dreams coming true.

Ten Beautiful Seagulls
This poem was inspired by my seagull watching at the beach. A group of them gathered together and then slowly flew away one by one. Each on a different mission to find food. Unfortunately, as the poem reminds us, the little presents they leave behind to those who feed them, are not always welcome ones!
